Has Chase Begun A Covert War On Bitcoin?

Hey guys,

I got this in my inbox about an hour ago from Michael Krieger of libertyblitzkrieg.com.  War is being declared and it looks like it’s going to get ugly.

I think that because of the increasing awareness, acceptance and usage of Bitcoin by both businesses and the general public, the big banks like Chase, Bank of America, PayPal and Western Union are going to engage in an underhanded covert war on Bitcoin and the crypto community to try and scare the public away from using it.  They’ll do this as a reactionary measure because Bitcoin’s prowess threatens their very business models.

Check out my previous blogpost here on how Bitcoin could easily supplant PayPal and Western Union.

I say, “bring it on”! I’ll take my business to banks that are unafraid and supportive of this burgeoning community.  Perhaps Bitcoin will be the financial tour de force that takes down the Too Big To Fail, Too Big To Jail entities that bilk the taxpayer at every opportunity.

The article addresses the following statement from the bank: “Chase has deemed any activity involving Bitcoin as high-risk, and therefore is banned from our company. This includes both selling Bitcoins, and Bitcoin related hardware.”
